Silvia Luna Zapiain
My name is Silvia Luna Zapiain, I was born in Mexico many years ago. I started taking Yoga classes 34 years ago in Mexico City, I went into the classes with the idea of getting more flexibility and of course for the relaxation. What I found with Yoga was way more than that. It really transformed my life completely. I became vegetarian, I started to learn more about Yoga and its principals, but the most important thing for me is that I learned discipline.
A couple of years later, I got pregnant and I joined the Prenatal Yoga class, and it gave me the strength and confidence to have a NO DRUG delivery. I loved it so much that it inspired me to became a Prenatal Yoga Instructor. I wanted to help other women in this special process. And I did.
About 7 years later I was invited to come to St. Louis to the Solar Yoga Center and their Yoga Retreat (Ashram) ‘Shining Waters” for a year. I did go back to Mexico for a year, and then came back to marry my husband, 22 years ago.
